Ultra-Orthodox Protestors, Many Children, Block Jerusalem Bus Entrance
Dozens of ultra-Orthodox protestors, predominantly children, blocked buses at the entrance to Jerusalem on Monday, attempting to prevent them from reaching the central bus station. Police forces on site worked to clear the demonstrators. So far, three buses have managed to pass through the blockade.
Adir Schwartz, Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem, who was present at the scene, condemned the protest. "It is impossible to ignore the serious matter here, the ultra-Orthodox leadership is sending children to block roads and stand in front of buses. This is irresponsible and dangerous behavior," he stated.
