Ultra-Orthodox Youths Block Jerusalem Entrance, Disrupting Traffic

Dozens of ultra-Orthodox demonstrators, many of them minors, blocked buses at the entrance to Jerusalem on Tuesday evening, attempting to prevent them from reaching the central bus station. Police were present at the scene, working to disperse the protesters. By 7:30 PM, three buses had managed to pass through the blockade. The demonstrators are protesting against the presence of women in the "Women of the Wall" prayer group, who were scheduled to pray at the Western Wall on Tuesday evening. The "Women of the Wall" organization advocates for women's right to pray aloud and wear religious items at the holy site. The ultra-Orthodox community largely opposes this, viewing it as a violation of religious tradition. This is not the first time such protests have occurred, with ultra-Orthodox groups frequently demonstrating against the Western Wall's egalitarian prayer section and the "Women of the Wall" activities.
