Bnei Sakhnin Faces Injury Crisis with Key Players Out
Israeli football club Bnei Sakhnin is grappling with a significant injury crisis as multiple key players are sidelined. The team has had a slow start to the season, earning only one point from its first two matches, and the mounting injuries are further complicating their efforts.
Most recently, striker Daniel Parskyev tore a muscle and is expected to be out for approximately six weeks. This adds to the team's woes, as Angolan midfielder Norberto Carlos also suffered a groin tear and is likely to be released by the club. Earlier, new signing Dimitri Kabeh tore his ACL and meniscus in a match against Maccabi Petah Tikva, effectively ending his season just a month after joining.
Parskyev joined Sakhnin shortly before their game against Maccabi Netanya and came on as a substitute. He started the subsequent match against Maccabi Petah Tikva, but it's suggested this may have been too soon, leading to his current injury. Manager Yossi Abuksis will also be without defender Uri Dahan for the upcoming game due to an agreement with Beitar Jerusalem.
However, there is a potential positive note as Antonio Sefer might debut for Sakhnin against Beitar Jerusalem. Meanwhile, the club is reportedly in negotiations to sign a foreign defender. The club had previously been in talks with French defender Inock Kwating, who played for Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv last season and scored four goals.
