Israel Strikes Lebanon, Iranian Missiles Intercepted Over Jordan

Lebanon's official news agency reported Friday evening that two people were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a motorcycle in the area of the city of Nabatieh. Minutes later, reports emerged of a wave of strikes carried out by the IDF in the village of Al-Mansouri in the western sector of southern Lebanon.

Concurrently, Saudi channel Al-Hadath reported the interception of Iranian missiles in the skies over northern Jordan. The IDF announced Thursday that forces from the 36th Division had completed clearing two underground routes in the Ali Taher mountain range, located within Israel's security zone in southern Lebanon, with ongoing efforts to neutralize them.

According to the army's announcement from Thursday, forces gained operational control above and below ground in the mountain range, clearing the area of terrorists, some of whom were eliminated and others fled. The IDF stated that the infrastructure included command centers, weapons storage rooms, generator rooms, living quarters, showers, and a kitchen, enabling terrorists to conduct combat operations and stay in the area for extended periods.

The army's statement indicated this is strategic infrastructure built over two decades, funded and designed by the Iranian regime. It was also reported that terrorists operating from these routes had carried out attacks against Israel and IDF forces, and that recent weeks' operations had neutralized the capability to execute such plans from these infrastructures. Following the operation's conclusion, the IDF will conduct a renewed defense based on the situation assessment.
