French Talent Elijah Odeh Joins Belgian Club Lommel, Not Maccabi Tel Aviv
Maccabi Tel Aviv's search for a winger has hit a snag as one of their reported targets, Elijah Odeh, has officially signed with Belgian club Lommel on loan. The 19-year-old French winger was previously linked with Maccabi Tel Aviv, with global media suggesting the Israeli club was leading the chase for his signature. Turkish club Erzurumspor also expressed interest.
Odeh joined French club Troyes in the summer of 2025 from Sheriff Tiraspol for €3 million. Last season, he made 14 appearances for Sheriff, scoring seven goals. At Troyes, he played 13 games, scoring one goal and providing one assist, helping the team achieve promotion to the top division, though he played less frequently towards the end of the season. He has not yet been registered in Troyes' squad for the current season.
The loan move to Lommel means Odeh will not be joining Maccabi Tel Aviv, who are still looking to strengthen their attacking lineup.
