New Rape Complaint Filed Against Teen Accused in Jerusalem Case

An additional complaint detailing alleged sexual offenses by Natanel Toledano, the 19-year-old Jerusalem resident accused of raping a 17-year-old, was filed approximately five months ago. The complaint, reported by Kan News on Thursday, concerns alleged sexual offenses committed against a young woman in Eilat with whom Toledano had a prior acquaintance.

No decision has yet been made on whether to prosecute Toledano for these alleged offenses or to add them to his existing indictment. Toledano was indicted earlier this week by the Jerusalem District Prosecutor's Office on charges including five counts of rape, attempted rape, and indecent acts against the 17-year-old minor. He allegedly met the victim online and committed the offenses in a rented apartment.

Advocate Ravit Zilberfarb, representing the victim through the Legal Aid department of the Ministry of Justice, expressed distress over the new information. "It pains us to hear that this is not an isolated incident, that this is a pattern," she stated. "If the previous complaint had been handled with the appropriate speed and seriousness, it would have been possible to prevent the current harm." She urged any other potential victims to come forward to the police.

The report also briefly mentioned the mother of a 13-year-old girl who was allegedly raped in the Sharon region, stating that her daughter described "all the horrors."
