Kelif Brothers Release Energetic Trance Version of Breslov Hasidic Anthem
As tens of thousands of Breslov Hasidim prepare for their annual pilgrimage to Uman for Rosh Hashanah, the twin brothers Kelif have released a new, high-energy trance rendition of Binyamin Landau's beloved song, 'Or Behirut HaDerech' (Light of Clarity of the Way).
The updated version aims to capture the deep longing and spiritual yearning of Breslov followers for their Rebbe, Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, while infusing it with a driving beat and the ecstatic energy characteristic of trance music. This musical choice is intended to connect the joy and excitement of the holiday preparations with the profound sense of yearning for the Tzaddik (righteous one).
The original song, 'Or Behirut HaDerech,' has become a staple for Breslov Hasidim on their journey to Uman, expressing their devotion. The Kelif brothers' interpretation maintains the original message and melody while adding a contemporary, spiritual soundscape. Natanel Kelif produced, arranged, and mixed the track, blending traditional sounds with modern energy, with mastering by Aran Lavi.
The release is accompanied by a special music video designed to immerse viewers in the atmosphere of joy and anticipation for Rosh Hashanah. The clip features imagery and moods associated with the journey to Uman, creating a holistic experience that links the music's rhythm and energy with the spiritual longing for Rabbi Nachman.
