Twenty New Families Join West Bank Settlement of Hermesh

Twenty new families, accompanied by dozens of children, have officially joined the settlement of Hermesh in the northern West Bank, marking the inauguration of a new neighborhood. The influx of families has led to the opening of a new kindergarten and daycare center within the community. The move is part of a broader settlement expansion initiative led by the Samaria Regional Council across the northern West Bank.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, welcomed the new residents, praising the "veterans of the settlement who overcame terror and difficulties." He emphasized the settlement's growth, stating, "Northern Samaria is the beating heart of the land," and predicted Hermesh would become a "huge settlement full of children and construction." Dagan highlighted the event as a realization of the settlement vision and a clear statement of Israeli presence and commitment to the region.

Ze'ev (Zambish) Hever, Secretary-General of the Amana movement, noted the significant demand for settlement, with people actively seeking to join existing and new communities. He described the simultaneous establishment of numerous settlements and the strong public response as a "great miracle."

Efrat Fleihmer, a member of the pioneering group, expressed her love for the settlement, citing its natural beauty and the positive spirit of its residents. Roni Mizrahi, chairman of the Hermesh settlement, voiced pride in being part of the settlement enterprise and reiterated the goal of reaching one million residents in the Samaria region.

The integration of these families is part of the "Connection Program" spearheaded by the Samaria Regional Council and Amana, following government decisions. This program aims to establish 19 new settlements in the northern Samaria area as part of the council's "One Million in Samaria" plan.
