Nir Hefetz, a former spokesman for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, offered a political forecast in an interview on Kol BaRama radio. He said he would “put my money on Eisenkot on Polymarket” and added that he believes Eisenkot will be Israel’s next prime minister.
Hefetz argued that such an outcome would be positive for the ultra-Orthodox public. In his words, “it will be excellent for the Haredi public.” He said the political situation needs a different kind of leadership to resolve the current political and social crises.
According to Hefetz, “only a leader from the change bloc can bring a compromise with the Haredim.” His comments framed a future change in government as a possible path to easing tensions between the religious and ultra-Orthodox sectors and the broader political system.
