Maccabi Tel Aviv Leads Chase for Young Troyes Winger Elijah Adebayo
Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly leading the pursuit of 19-year-old winger Elijah Adebayo from French club Troyes. The Israeli club is looking to strengthen its wings under coach Kenny Miller, according to Nigerian reports.
Adebayo, who joined Troyes in the summer of 2025 from Sheriff Tiraspol for €3 million, is being eyed for a loan move. Last season, he made 14 appearances for Sheriff, scoring seven goals. At Troyes, he played 13 games, scoring once and assisting another, helping the team to promotion to the first division, though he played less frequently towards the end of the season. He has not yet been registered for Troyes this season.
The potential signing comes as Maccabi Tel Aviv, still celebrating their recent victory over Maccabi Haifa, continues to bolster their squad. The club has already announced the signing of Gabi Kanyalovsky and is close to acquiring James Tavernier.
