Liberman Urges Opposition Parties to Unite Ahead of Election Deadline

Avigdor Liberman, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party and a Knesset member, has issued an urgent public appeal to the leaders of opposition parties, calling for immediate consolidation of forces to prevent vote wastage. Speaking as the deadline for party list submissions approaches, Liberman stressed the critical juncture, stating, "We are in the final stretch before the lists are closed." He urged party leaders in the "serving bloc" to act responsibly and make a final effort to forge alliances with parties led by Hili Tropper, Gilad Erdan, and Benny Gantz, aiming to avert the fragmentation of votes.

Liberman further warned of the detrimental impact separate runs by smaller parties within the bloc could have on the overall political balance. He expressed concern that these smaller parties, lacking a realistic chance of crossing the electoral threshold, could nonetheless siphon off three to four Knesset seats from the main opposition bloc, thereby weakening its position.
