Man Arrested at Airport After Stabbing Teen in Holon
A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Holon on Monday during a brawl, sustaining upper body injuries. He was transported to Wolfson Hospital in serious condition with penetrating wounds.
Police were alerted to the incident and officers from the Zvulun station arrived at the scene to collect evidence and identify the suspect. Simultaneously, investigators took a statement from the victim at the hospital.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect, a 47-year-old Holon resident, had fled the scene and was attempting to leave the country via Ben Gurion Airport (Natbag). Police from the Natbag precinct acted quickly to locate and apprehend him as he was about to board a flight.
The suspect was taken into custody for further investigation and is being held. Authorities plan to request an extension of his detention on Tuesday.
