Man Arrested at Airport After Allegedly Stabbing Teen in Holon
A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured after being stabbed in his upper body in Holon on Monday. The suspect, a 47-year-old Holon resident, was apprehended at Ben Gurion Airport shortly after the incident, as he was reportedly attempting to board a flight out of the country.
Emergency medical services transported the injured teenager to Wolfson Medical Center, where he is being treated for penetrating wounds. Police officers from the Holon station responded to the scene, gathering evidence and initiating an investigation to identify and locate the assailant. They also visited the hospital to take the victim's statement.
During the investigation, authorities learned the suspect had left Holon and proceeded to Ben Gurion Airport. His details were relayed to officers at the airport, who, in coordination with Holon police, located and arrested him.
The suspect was taken to the Holon police station for questioning and has been detained. Police are expected to request an extension of his remand from the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
