Suspect in Teen Stabbing Arrested at Airport Before Fleeing Country

Police in Israel have arrested a 47-year-old man suspected of stabbing a 17-year-old boy in the city of Holon. The suspect, a resident of Holon, was apprehended at Ben Gurion Airport (Natbag) as he was attempting to board a flight and leave the country.

The stabbing incident was reported to emergency services, and the teenage victim was evacuated to Wolfson Medical Center suffering from penetrating injuries to his upper body. Police officers from Holon arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and began an investigation to locate the suspect. Simultaneously, officers took the victim's statement at the hospital.

During the search, authorities learned the suspect had gone to the airport. Officers from the Natbag region, in coordination with Holon station officers, located and arrested him. The suspect was taken for further interrogation at the Holon police station and has been detained. Police are expected to request an extension of his remand from the court.
