City and Health Provider Partner for Resident Wellness Initiatives

The city of Rosh Ha'ayin and Maccabi Healthcare Services have concluded a year of extensive collaboration aimed at promoting resident health through educational activities and exposure to medicine and health sciences. This partnership has expanded to include a medical excellence program for students within the municipal excellence center, alongside lectures and activities for parents and families focused on healthy lifestyles.

As part of the municipal excellence center's curriculum, students from the "Ha'Yovel" middle school's scientific-technological track visited Maccabi. The tour, focusing on technological innovation in medicine, included teachers and parents. Students experienced hands-on work in laboratories, the nursing clinic, and the imaging unit, using virtual reality glasses and learning about advanced ultrasound and X-ray technologies.

The collaboration also features lectures for parents of young children and targeted nutrition sessions for parents of both young children and teenagers. For the upcoming academic year, the partnership will launch a new program to introduce children and youth to technological and scientific innovation in health and medicine through lectures, tours, demonstrations, and practical experiences.

Mayor Raz Shagi praised the collaboration, stating that resident health and quality of life are integral to the city's vision. He highlighted the city's broad health improvement initiatives, including efforts against fires, expanding local health services with a new "Tipat Halav" (mother and child health) station and imaging institute, and promoting healthy living from a young age. Shagi emphasized that the partnership with Maccabi connects medical expertise with youth education, guiding them toward medical excellence.
