Thousands Mourn Rabbi of Bialo Ostrova in Jerusalem Funeral

Thousands of mourners gathered in Jerusalem on Tuesday for the funeral of the Grand Rabbi of Bialo Ostrova, who passed away in the United States. His coffin arrived from the U.S. on a flight to Jerusalem, and the funeral procession began at his Beit Midrash (study hall) on David HaReuveni Street in the Givat Shaul neighborhood.

Family members present at the airport in the U.S. included the Rabbi of Bialo USA and nephews, among them Rabbi Baruch Hager, son of the Seret Vizhnitz Rebbe, and Rabbi Eliezer Zev Rabinowitz, son of the Bialo Bnei Brak Rebbe. Before the Jerusalem procession, the Rebbes who are brothers gathered in the deceased Rebbe's room. The eulogies commenced with the eldest brother, the Rebbe of Bialo Bnei Brak, followed by the Rebbe of Bialo Beit Shemesh, and their brother-in-law Rabbi Shlomo Wasserman, Av Beit Din of Lellov, along with Rabbi Shlomo Boso.

The procession then proceeded on foot along Givat Shaul Street towards Har HaZeitim (the Mount of Olives), where the Rebbe was interred in the Bialo dynasty's section. Following the funeral, a meeting took place at the deceased Rebbe's home with his son, Rabbi Yechiel Yehoshua Rabinowitz, to discuss the continuation of leadership, with details expected to be announced after the seven-day mourning period.
