Two West Bank Residents Arrested in Acre for Illegal Stay

Israeli police arrested two residents of Jenin, in the West Bank, in the city of Acre on the country's northern coast. The two were apprehended along with a driver suspected of transporting them illegally. The arrests occurred at a checkpoint near the "Horse Beach" area in the old city of Acre after authorities stopped their vehicle and discovered the passengers were Palestinian residents without legal permits to be in Israel.

In a separate incident in Rekhasim, a Palestinian worker found to be in Israel without permits was arrested while working on renovation jobs. His employer was also taken into custody.

Furthermore, the Acre police concluded an investigation into another undocumented Palestinian woman, leading to the filing of an indictment against her. The police stated these operations are part of an ongoing enforcement effort against illegal stays in Israel and against those who aid and abet such activities through transportation, housing, or employment. The authorities emphasized that such operations will continue.
