Maccabi Netanya Pursues Inter Miami Midfielder David Ruiz

Israeli club Maccabi Netanya has reportedly approached Inter Miami regarding their midfielder David Ruiz, a 22-year-old Honduran player who has played alongside stars like Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, and Luis Suarez. Ruiz, who has been with Inter Miami for three years and is under contract until 2028, is not a regular starter for the MLS team.

Meanwhile, Maccabi Netanya is still attempting to secure the loan of Brazilian defender Sydney Lima from Portuguese club Santa Clara. The negotiations, led by Max De Giglio, have so far been unsuccessful. Netanya is reluctant to agree to a purchase option of approximately $500,000, even though Lima would arrive on loan without a transfer fee. Partizan Belgrade has also expressed interest in the player.

Regarding player departures, Maccabi Netanya is looking to move on from forward Willian Ciprián. Ciprián reportedly rejected an offer to terminate his contract early in exchange for three months' salary, with his agent claiming there is an offer from France. Ciprián is not in the club's plans and has been in Israel alone while his wife is in France for childbirth.

In other team news, defender Bassem Zaroura is sidelined for about ten days with a groin tear, and Itay Ben Shabbat is seeking a new team. Coach Roni Levy will have to manage with the current squad for the upcoming match against his former club, Hapoel Haifa, until a new defender is acquired.
