Drone Crosses From Lebanon Into Israel for First Time Since June

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory early Wednesday morning, marking the first such incursion since June. Air raid sirens were activated in the "Finger of the Galilee" region, specifically in the villages of Yuval, Ma'ayan Baruch, and Hagosherim, due to the drone's entry. Subsequently, additional sirens sounded in Dafna and Hagosherim, warning of rocket and missile fire, which the military stated was a response to interception attempts.

The IDF is currently investigating the precise details of the incident, including whether the drone was successfully intercepted. Initial assessments suggest it was a Hezbollah drone, possibly equipped with night vision technology. The first alert sounded at 4:24 AM in Yuval and Ma'ayan Baruch, followed by Hagosherim a minute later. At 4:26 AM, sirens for rockets and missiles were activated in Dafna and Hagosherim, with a 15-second defense time.

Following the alerts, Lebanon reported Israeli airstrikes in the Al-Taher area in southern Lebanon. About fifteen minutes after the initial alerts, the Home Front Command declared the incident over, advising residents in Dafna, Hagosherim, Yuval, and Ma'ayan Baruch that they could leave protected areas.
