Feiglin and Smotrich Unite for Upcoming Election

Bezalel Smotrich, chairman of the Religious Zionism party, and Moshe Feiglin, chairman of the Zehut party, have agreed to run together in the upcoming elections in an effort to overcome the electoral threshold. Under the agreement, Feiglin will receive the second spot on Smotrich's Knesset list, as well as spots 8, 10, and 11, which are currently considered unlikely to be elected.

The parties have described the union as purely "technical," meaning campaigns will run separately, and they will negotiate coalition terms independently after the election, should that opportunity arise. Avi Maoz, chairman of the Noam party, has expressed willingness to join the alliance, but it remains unclear if Smotrich desires his inclusion.

Despite Feiglin's initial placement at number two, both he and Smotrich have agreed to keep open the possibility of adding Ofer Winter to the list. If Winter joins and agrees, he would take the second position, pushing Feiglin to third. Winter is also expected to receive additional spots within the top ten. However, under this arrangement, Feiglin is slated to retain two positions within the top ten.
