Feiglin Says Talks With Smotrich Nearing Final Stage

Moshe Feiglin, chairman of the Zehut party, announced on Sunday that negotiations with Bezalel Smotrich, chairman of the Religious Zionism party, are in their final stages. Both parties are working to finalize a union ahead of the upcoming elections.

Feiglin stated that the talks are progressing and expressed hope for a swift agreement. In a video posted on social media, he confirmed the advanced stage of the negotiations, emphasizing that they are doing "everything to make it happen."

Despite the ongoing efforts to reach a deal, Feiglin clarified that Zehut will continue its election campaign regardless of the outcome. "Whether it happens or not, with God's help it will happen, but we will be at full strength until the end, until the elections, behind the curtain so that there will be several serious Knesset members from the Zehut party there," he said.

Feiglin stressed that Zehut has an independent message for the Knesset and cannot afford to forgo presenting its platform. "We will continue to run across the country, because Zehut's message cannot be waived," he stated, adding that "the people of Israel and the State of Israel have nowhere to advance right now without this message, so we will be there."

The negotiations occur amid broader efforts on the Israeli right to consolidate parties and prevent vote fragmentation, driven by concerns that smaller lists might fail to pass the electoral threshold.
