Religious Zionism and Feiglin Discuss Potential Political Alliance

Negotiations are ongoing between Bezalel Smotrich, leader of the Religious Zionism party, and Moshe Feiglin regarding a potential political union and a joint run in a technical bloc. According to the current proposal, Feiglin would be placed second on the list, with additional spots allocated to him towards the end of the top ten.

Last week, Smotrich stated that it is a "time for unity and responsibility in the national camp." Sources close to him indicated readiness to negotiate with any party in the national camp that would strengthen the right-wing bloc, hinting at Itamar Ben-Gvir's party as well.

Meanwhile, senior coalition officials expressed skepticism about the current poll numbers for Ben-Gvir's party, suggesting they do not reflect future outcomes, similar to the initial launch of the Yamina party by Naftali Bennett and Ayelet Shaked. These officials accused Ben-Gvir of potentially endangering the right-wing bloc, claiming he aims to draw votes from within the bloc rather than attracting new ones from outside, citing his recent advertisements in Shabbat bulletins as evidence.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly commented that "10 mandates have escaped us, I don't know how to bring them back."
