Moshe Feiglin Threatens to Run Independently Unless Right-Wing Parties Unite

Moshe Feiglin, chairman of the Zehut party, issued a stern ultimatum to right-wing factions on Thursday, warning that if they do not unite, he will run independently in the upcoming elections, even at the cost of splitting the right-wing vote. Speaking on Galei Israel radio, Feiglin declared, "If you are playing games and unwilling to unite, consider that you are dealing with a madman." He emphasized that his voters are loyal to him and not to other right-wing parties, asserting, "I am part of the national camp, the most right-wing there is."

Feiglin directly challenged right-wing leaders, stating, "If you want these mandates, come to a union. If you don't, you are the problem, so don't blame me." He made clear he would not back down or withdraw to save seats for others. He also criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying Netanyahu should have "handed over the keys on October 8," referencing the serious security failure during the Simchat Torah incident. Feiglin accused both left and right leadership of avoiding responsibility.

A former Likud MK who returned to politics after years away, Feiglin also condemned political use of the ultra-Orthodox community as "electoral fuel." During a rare visit to the Oritah Yeshiva in Jerusalem, he outlined his vision for change. He concluded by stating his ultimate goal: "With God's help, I will be the defense minister," framing the current struggle as beyond left versus right, aiming to prevent a repeat of the October 7 attacks.

Feiglin's threat comes amid complex political polls showing fierce competition among right-wing parties, with Zehut failing to pass the electoral threshold in most recent surveys. Despite this, Feiglin insists he represents a genuine alternative and refuses to be a mere "mandate saver" for others.
