Prominent Rebbes Visit Israeli Cities, Participate in Religious Events

Several prominent Hasidic rebbes have been visiting various cities in Israel, engaging in religious ceremonies and strengthening their communities. The Rebbe of Vizhnitz-Monsey, currently in Israel, visited Bnei Brak, where he participated in several events. Notably, he made a unique visit to the home of the Rebbe of Makonov-Belz, the only such visit he made to a local rabbi during his stay.

In another event, the Rebbe of Vizhnitz attended the inauguration of an expansion to the main temporary synagogue in Bnei Brak upon his return from Switzerland. This expansion is in preparation for the High Holidays and upcoming winter celebrations. The construction of the larger center for the Hasidic community is also ongoing.

Other rebbes have also been active. The Rebbe of Nadvorna-Jerusalem in Beitar Illit appeared at a special dinner for his synagogue, wearing historical attire including his grandfather's coat and death shroud. The Rebbe of Lelov-Nikolshburg spent the Sabbath in Arad, where his followers witnessed his Havdalah ceremony and the folding of his prayer shawl.

Additionally, the Rebbe of Kretshnif-Kiryat Gat attended the wedding of his attendant, the "house chosson," and participated in the "l'chaim" and a lively dance. The Rebbe of Vierzitz visited Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch and Rabbi Yaakov Meir Shachter, with Rabbi Shachter expressing surprise at seeing his study partner from 35 years prior.

Further events included the Rebbe of Pinsk-Karlin celebrating the wedding of his grandson, and the Rebbe of Vizhnitz-Afula inaugurating a new kindergarten wing and appointing a new rabbi for the community. The Rebbe of Nadvorna-Elad was also seen reciting Selichot prayers and blowing the shofar, a practice that is gaining momentum.
