Haredi Community Celebrates Multiple Events, Leaders Attend Weddings and Anniversals

The Haredi community has been abuzz with various celebrations and religious events across Israel. In Afula, hundreds of Vizhnitz Hasidim welcomed Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager, the Av Beis Din of the Hasidut, who inaugurated a new kindergarten wing and appointed a new rabbi for the 'Ohev Yisrael' community. Meanwhile, in Bnei Brak, thousands gathered to receive blessings from the Vizhnitz Monsey Rebbe during his visit to Israel, ahead of Rosh Hashanah. The Rebbe delivered a preparatory talk to students and visited the graves of his ancestors before addressing thousands of Hasidim.

Weddings and Bar Mitzvahs have been prominent features of recent Haredi life. The community celebrated the wedding of the grandson of Rabbi Sinai Meir Frankel, Av Beis Din of Yavniel, with the granddaughter of the late Rosh Yeshiva. A notable moment occurred when Rabbi Frankel donned white garments for the first time, in line with Hasidic Rebbes' customs. In another celebration, the Bar Mitzvah of the first great-grandson of the Satmar Rebbe and the Makov Rebbe took place in Bnei Brak, with a notable encounter between the grandfathers in the kitchen.

Further events included the opening of the new academic year at the "Torat Yisrael" Yeshiva of Kretschneff Kiryat Gat, attended by the Rebbe, who toured the new dormitory. The Zutchka Rebbe celebrated the wedding of his youngest son, with the Hasidim presenting him with "first fruits" of their learning. The Nadvorna Hasidut in Bnei Brak marked a Bar Mitzvah, with the grandfather traveling from Brazil for the occasion. The Karlin Rebbe visited the "Zera Avraham" camp in the Catskills, USA, to strengthen the children and students before the upcoming High Holy Days.

Religious leaders have also been active in spiritual guidance. Rabbi Elimelech Biderman addressed the Spinka Hasidim in Beit Shemesh, and the Erloy Rebbe led prayers and a gathering at Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai's tomb in Meron. The Seret Vizhnitz Rebbe visited Beitar, offering counsel and blessings, and also performed a "chalaka" ceremony for the son of a community activist. The Satmar Rebbe revealed his reasons for meeting with President Trump, emphasizing the importance of not being gentile.

Reflections on Jewish unity and the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov were also featured. An article discussed how to love all Jews, regardless of their affiliation, in honor of the birthdays of the Baal Shem Tov and Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi. Another piece recounted a story of the Baal Shem Tov preferring to lodge with a wicked official over the city rabbi, explaining his reasoning. A historical look at Hasidic Rebbes meeting with presidents in the White House was also presented.
