Haredi Rabbis Attend Various Celebrations and Events Across Israel

Numerous prominent rabbis and Rebbes from various Hasidic dynasties participated in a series of religious and communal events across Israel in late August. These gatherings included a new academic year opening at the "Torat Israel" Yeshiva in Kiryat Gat, attended by the Rebbe of Kretschneff, who toured the new dormitory wing and affixed a mezuzah. In Bnei Brak, a Bar Mitzvah celebration for the first great-grandson of the Rebbe of Shachtz and Ga'avad of Makova took place, with a notable encounter between the grandfathers in the kitchen.

Several events marked the approach of the High Holy Days. The Rebbe of Nadvorna Elad was seen reciting Selichot prayers before the traditional start, and the Rebbe of Nadvorna celebrated his grandson's Bar Mitzvah in Bnei Brak, with a grandfather attending from Brazil. The Rebbe of Karlin visited the "Zera Avraham" camp in the Catskills, USA, to encourage students before the month of Elul. In Beit Shemesh, Rabbi Elimelech Biderman delivered a strengthening sermon to Spinka Hasidim.

Further events included the Rebbe of Erloy visiting Meron for prayers and a Tish, the Rebbe of Seret Vizhnitz visiting Beitar for blessings, and the Rebbe of Satmar explaining his meeting with President Trump to students. The Rebbe of Zutchka celebrated the wedding of his youngest son, with students presenting a "first fruits" offering of their studies. The Rebbe of Mahnupka-Belz officiated at the wedding of his first great-granddaughter, foregoing honors to allow other grandfathers to participate.

Other notable events included the unveiling of a tombstone for Rabbi Chaim Dov Halperin, son of the Rebbe of Vasseloy, in Givatayim, attended by his father and father-in-law. A story about a musician who pretended to be blind was shared, along with a tale of the Baal Shem Tov preferring to lodge with a wicked official over the city rabbi. A dispute over the inheritance of the late Rebbe of Toldos Aaron and Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok was highlighted, as was the distribution of silver items from the estate of the late Rebbe of Satmar. Finally, a clarification was issued by senior rabbis regarding a controversial letter against the Vizhnitz (Central) Hasidic dynasty, with some signatories retracting their support.
