Walker left out of Maccabi’s roster, Udohasi added for Hapoel ahead of Finals opener
The Israeli Basketball Super League final between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv begins tonight, Tuesday, at 8:00 p.m. at Menora Mivtachim Arena, with Maccabi hosting Game 1 and the broadcast set for Sport 5. Both teams have announced their game rosters, as is customary before the series opener.
Maccabi coach Oded Katash chose not to register Lonnie Walker for the first game of the series. The five foreign players available to him are Elie Okobo, Jaylen Hoard, Jimmy Clark, Oshae Brissett and Zach Hankins. Tamir Blatt also was left off the roster because of the injury he is dealing with.
Maccabi’s full roster for the game also includes Amit Abo, Oren Sahar, Roman Sorkin, John DiBartolomeo and Tamir Gold. The club can still change its foreign-player allocation later in the series.
On the Hapoel Tel Aviv side, Tai Odiase has been registered for the game. The foreign players alongside him are Jonathan Motley, Chris Jones, Vasilije Micic and Ish Wainright. Keandre Cook was the player left out to make room for Odiase.
