Maccabi Jaffa Approaches Tal Bomshtein About Potential Comeback

Maccabi Jaffa has officially approached goalkeeper Tal Bomshtein, who recently retired from professional football, regarding a potential return to the sport. Bomshtein, considered one of the best goalkeepers in the National League last season, had hung up his gloves due to personal reasons just weeks before the current season's start.

The club's pursuit of Bomshtein follows their decision to part ways with goalkeeper Arik Yanco due to dissatisfaction with his performance. Young goalkeeper Harel Attias is currently filling the role, having impressed in the Toto Cup. Alongside Bomshtein, Maccabi Jaffa is also considering Roy Baranes, a former Jaffa player now with Hapoel Tel Aviv, with whom Jaffa has a cooperation agreement.

Bomshtein, who had a standout season with Maccabi Herzliya last year, has not ruled out a return to the National League. He is reportedly considering the offer positively, influenced by pressure from Maccabi Jaffa and his existing rapport with the team's coach, Itzik Baruch, and chairman, Eran Cohen.

Bomshtein's potential comeback could significantly bolster Maccabi Jaffa's goalkeeping position as they navigate the current season.
