Two Israeli Teens Charged With Espionage for Iran
Two minors, aged 14 and 16, from Kiryat Motzkin in northern Israel, have been indicted for carrying out tasks for a foreign agent acting on behalf of Iran in exchange for payment. The indictment reveals that the teenagers were involved in photographing targets, spray-painting graffiti, and attempting to recruit other minors to assist in these activities.
The Shin Bet security agency, which investigated the case, stated that the foreign agent, operating under Iranian direction, contacted the youths through social media. The agent provided them with instructions and funds to carry out the missions, which included documenting sensitive locations and spreading propaganda.
The indictment details that the agent promised the youths further payments and rewards for their cooperation.
