Two Israeli Teens Charged with Espionage for Iranian Agent

The prosecution has filed an indictment against two minors, aged 14 and 16 from Kiryat Motzkin, who allegedly carried out tasks for an Iranian foreign agent in exchange for payment. The indictment, submitted to the Haifa District Court for Youth, details that the teens were involved in photography, spray-painting graffiti, and recruiting other minors for the agent's operations.

According to the indictment, the contact began in June when one of the minors joined a Telegram job-seeking group and was approached by an individual identifying as 'Daniel.' This individual offered payment for completing various tasks. As part of these assignments, one of the minors photographed several locations across Israel, including malls in Herzliya and Tel Aviv.

In one specific mission, the minor provided the agent with details about a mall's entrances and exits, as well as the number of security guards present. The indictment does not specify the exact nature of the agent's ultimate goals or the full extent of the information gathered, but the charges indicate a pattern of intelligence gathering and recruitment activities orchestrated by the Iranian operative.
