Hadar Mukhtar Appointed Head of Youth Division in Likud Election Campaign

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has appointed Hadar Mukhtar, known for her provocative protest videos against the government, as head of the youth division in the Likud party's election campaign. Mukhtar, 24, holds a master's degree in computer science, is a graduate of Unit 8200, and is recognized as an influential voice among young voters. Despite not receiving the party's "shortened list" endorsement to run in the Likud primaries, she has remained loyal to the party.

Political sources revealed that after being denied the chance to run in the primaries, Mukhtar considered joining the Otzma Yehudit party. However, Otzma Yehudit leader Itamar Ben-Gvir informed her that he would not reserve a spot for her on their list, despite seriously considering it. Mukhtar denied seeking other political options and reiterated her commitment to Likud on social media, emphasizing her dedication to ensuring the party's victory.

Mukhtar first emerged in politics in 2022 through social media and founded the "Burning Youth" party, which failed to pass the electoral threshold, garnering only 8,800 votes. During that election campaign, she undertook a hunger strike lasting several days until she collapsed. Her new official role in Likud marks a significant step in her political career.
