Hapoel Be'er Sheva Signs Midfielder Niv Yehoshua for Five Seasons
Hapoel Be'er Sheva announced on Monday that it has signed midfielder Niv Yehoshua to a five-season contract. The 2024 Israeli champions brought him in from Maccabi Petah Tikva, where he made his senior-team debut in January 2024.
Yehoshua had a strong 2024-25 season with Maccabi Petah Tikva, scoring four goals and playing a key role in the club’s successful promotion campaign back to the Premier League. He has also represented Israel’s youth national team 14 times and scored once.
After completing the move, Yehoshua said he was “happy and excited” to join the club and begin “a new chapter” in his career. He said he had heard a lot about the fans’ passion and had experienced it himself as an opponent at Turner Stadium.
“I cannot wait to step on the pitch wearing the red kit and receive your support and encouragement,” he said. Yehoshua also thanked the coaching staff and management for their trust, saying he understood the expectations and goals ahead and would do everything to meet them.
