Security Guard Suffers Cardiac Arrest After Confrontation With Drunk Man at Carmiel Concert

A 60-year-old security guard suffered a severe cardiac event and lost consciousness following a confrontation with a drunk man attempting to enter a concert venue in Carmiel on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred during a performance by Gali Atari and Tipex. The intoxicated man tried to gain access to the event and was stopped by the security guard, leading to an altercation. After reporting the incident to police, the guard suddenly collapsed due to a heart-related emergency.

Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived promptly and found the guard unresponsive, without pulse or breathing. They administered advanced life-saving measures, including prolonged CPR and defibrillation, successfully restoring his heartbeat. The guard was then transported in critical condition to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya while continuing to receive medical care. The intoxicated suspect was detained at the scene by police forces.

MDA personnel described the rescue efforts, emphasizing the severity of the guard's condition and the critical nature of the intervention that saved his life. The event highlights the risks security personnel face during public events and the importance of rapid emergency response.
