66-Year-Old Woman Suffers Cardiac Arrest After Leaving Bus in Tel Aviv
A 66-year-old woman experienced a cardiac arrest and collapsed shortly after disembarking from a bus on Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv. Emergency responders from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived promptly and found her unconscious, without breathing or pulse. They administered an electric shock using a defibrillator, successfully restoring her heartbeat.
The medical team, including immediate response units and a volunteer professor specializing in intensive cardiac care from Ichilov Medical Center, provided advanced life-saving treatment on site. The woman regained consciousness during transport and was taken directly to the catheterization lab at Ichilov Hospital. Her condition was reported as stable.
Yaron Dori, an emergency medical technician from MDA's rapid response vehicle unit, recounted that the woman had felt unwell while on the bus and collapsed immediately after getting off. The coordinated efforts of paramedics and hospital staff ensured continuous advanced care, including preparation for drug treatment during transfer. The incident highlights the critical role of rapid emergency response in cardiac emergencies in urban settings.
