Police Recommend Indictment for Former Acre Mayor in Bribery Case
Israeli police have concluded a bribery investigation into former Acre Mayor Amihai Ben Shlush, recommending he be indicted for allegedly paying voters and promising benefits in exchange for support during the 2024 mayoral election. The investigation led to the annulment of the original election results and a subsequent rerun, which Ben Shlush lost.
