Shin Bet Warned of Flaws in Leased Flights, Minister Ignored Warnings Israel's Shin Bet security agency warned multiple times about inadequate oversight of leased flights, recommending a transfer of authority to the Civil Aviation Authority. Transportation Minister Miri Regev reportedly ignored these warnings, a decision a senior security official called "not objective." The warnings surfaced after an investigation revealed a co-pilot planned to crash a leased flight in Israel.
