Yohananof Supermarket Chain Slashes Produce Prices in Major Sale

The retail sector in Israel is experiencing intense competition as the Yohananof supermarket chain launched a significant price reduction event on fresh produce this past Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Dubbed 'Fresh Tuesday,' the promotion aims to lower weekly grocery bills for consumers by offering deep discounts on essential items across all its branches nationwide.

Key deals include white cabbage priced at 2.90 shekels per kilogram, down from 3.90 shekels. A variety of other vegetables, such as small baking potatoes, red cabbage, butternut squash, red onions, and beets, are available for 3.90 shekels per kilogram. Sweet potatoes and lemons are offered at 5.90 shekels per kilogram, while green peppers are reduced to 6.90 shekels per kilogram from their usual 8.90 shekels.

The sale extends to fruits and avocados, with red plums, peaches, and avocados selling for 8.90 shekels per kilogram. Yohananof emphasized that these special prices are valid for one day only, until the stores close on Tuesday night, urging customers to take advantage of the offers before stock runs out.

In addition to the produce sale, Yohananof is also running a promotion on new bicycles, priced at a market-shattering 199 shekels, in anticipation of the upcoming Jewish High Holidays and the start of the school year, aiming to ease financial burdens for families.
