Israeli Retailer Yohananof Slashes Bike Prices Ahead of Holidays

As the holiday season approaches and families face rising expenses, Israeli retailer Yohananof is launching a significant promotion on children's bicycles. Starting September 11th, the chain will offer new bikes for children aged 2 to 9 at a "market-breaking" price of 199 shekels (approximately $55 USD). This offer, available in various sizes from 12 to 20 inches, aims to provide an accessible option for families looking to purchase holiday gifts, contrasting sharply with prices that can reach hundreds of shekels in specialized stores.

Yohananof has emphasized that the promotion involves a "particularly limited stock," anticipating a surge in demand from parents. The sale will be available at numerous branches across Israel, including locations in Ashdod, Netivot, Gan Yavne, Modi'in, Or Yehuda, Jerusalem, Hadera, Kfar Saba, Ramat HaSharon, Bat Yam, Netanya, Rehovot, Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Mishor Adumim, Gedera, Ra'anana, and Holon.

This pricing initiative coincides with Yohananof's broader efforts to enhance the in-store customer experience. The company is implementing the fourth generation of smart shopping cart technology from Cust2Mate. Approximately 4,000 of these smart carts are expected to be deployed, enabling customers to scan items independently, track prices and discounts in real-time, and complete purchases quickly without waiting in checkout lines.
