Reserve Colonel Calls for Harsh Measures After West Bank Shooting Attack
Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Eliyahu Liebman, a candidate for the Knesset with the Noam Party, visited the scene of a shooting attack at Ma'oz Yehuda in the West Bank on Tuesday. He called for decisive action against terrorism and the villages from which attackers originate.
Liebman demanded an immediate change in security policy, stating, "The nearby village, Qabalan, must pay a price, expel the entire family, and flatten the village. They must understand there is a price for the land and for exacting a price." He argued that beyond addressing individual incidents, a policy is needed to restore deterrence and eradicate terrorism at its root, thereby preventing future attacks rather than merely reacting to them.
The incident occurred at Ma'oz Yehuda, a location in the West Bank, and prompted Liebman's strong reaction and calls for punitive measures against Palestinian villages suspected of harboring terrorists.
