Ex-IDF Officer Calls for Harsh Retaliation After West Bank Shooting
Eliyahu Liebman, a reserve lieutenant colonel and candidate for the Noam party, visited the site of a shooting attack in the Ma'oz Yehuda outpost in the Samaria region on Sunday. He urged decisive action against terrorism and the villages from which attackers originate.
Liebman demanded an immediate shift in security policy, stating, "The nearby village, Qaryut, must pay a price, expel the entire family, and flatten the village. They must understand there is a price on the land and in exacting a price." He argued that beyond addressing individual incidents, a policy is needed to restore deterrence and eradicate terrorism at its roots, thereby preventing future attacks rather than merely reacting to them.
He emphasized that "Jewish blood is not forfeit" and called for a change in the current equation to ensure security.
