Additionally, the page contained a statement praising Adam Lanza, the perpetrator of the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting in the United States, who killed 26 people including his mother and a six-year-old Jewish child named Noah Pozner.
The offensive changes were quickly removed by Wikipedia editors and automated content filters. The British charity Campaign Against Antisemitism condemned the edits, calling the exploitation of Parton's death to spread antisemitic abuse "utterly despicable".
