Prof. Yuval Elbashan admits: “I love him deeply”

Prof. Yuval Elbashan, who tried to promote a compromise during the judicial overhaul, appeared for an interview with Oded Harosh on Channel 14 and surprised viewers when he said, “I love President Aharon Barak deeply.” He also sought to emphasize, “I am still on the left.”

His remarks came after he has often been attacked online, where people claim that on the one hand he defines himself as a man of the left, but on the other hand he acts like a man of the right. Elbashan was asked about the change he experienced after October 7, and he replied, “I still do not know how to process the Judaism that has fallen on me.”
