Yossi Dagan Launches V26 Campaign to Boost Right-Wing Voter Turnout Ahead of Elections

The story · English

Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, is spearheading the creation of the V26 campaign alongside his partners Yaakov Weinberger and Yoni HaIsraeli from the "My Likud" group. This nationwide grassroots effort aims to increase voter turnout among right-wing supporters, particularly in peripheral cities, neighborhoods, and right-wing strongholds with historically low participation rates. The initiative builds on the successful V22 model from the 2022 elections, which Dagan and MK Tzvi Sukkot established to mobilize thousands of volunteers who canvassed door-to-door and organized transportation to polling stations.

The V22 campaign was credited by senior Likud officials for contributing significantly to the right-wing bloc's victory in 2022, which secured 65 Knesset seats. Minister Miki Zohar praised V22 for reversing turnout trends in key cities, while Minister Eli Cohen thanked the volunteers for restoring hope to the Israeli public. The campaign attracted prominent figures such as Ministers Israel Katz and Miri Regev, Lod Mayor Eliyahu Revivo, Yeshivat Bnei Akiva CEO Elchanan Gelet, and former Safed Mayor Shuki Ohana.

Dagan emphasized that the upcoming V26 campaign will be larger, more organized, and stronger, with thousands of volunteers again canvassing door-to-door to ensure the national majority is reflected at the polls. The name V26 continues the tradition of V22 and references the left-wing V15 campaign from 2015. Weinberger and HaIsraeli, alongside Dagan, lead "My Likud," the second-largest settlement faction within the ruling Likud party.

The campaign is set to intensify efforts ahead of the next elections, focusing on maximizing turnout in right-wing communities to secure a decisive victory for the national camp.
