Likud CEO Warns Right-Wing Voters to Mobilize for Election Victory
David Sharan, CEO of the Likud party, cautioned right-wing voters against complacency ahead of the upcoming elections, emphasizing the critical importance of voter turnout. In an interview on the "Petchi and Zamri B'am" program on Galei Yisrael radio, Sharan noted that while the party is slightly defensive in current polls, victory is achievable if right-wing voters turn out in numbers comparable to left-wing voters. However, he stressed that this outcome is not guaranteed.
Sharan highlighted the significant increase in eligible voters, with 700,000 new voters, mostly right-wing, and warned that if they abstain from voting, it could lead to a government led by Benny Gantz and Arab parties. He urged these voters to make the effort to go to the polls, stating that this small action could be the difference between winning and losing.
Meanwhile, some Likud activists expressed disappointment, calling for major changes within the party. Sharan's message underscores the party's focus on mobilizing its base to secure electoral success amid a competitive political landscape.
