The story · English

The "My Likud" group, representing central settlement interests within the Likud party, achieved an unprecedented success in the party's recent primaries. Thirteen candidates endorsed by the group secured positions within the top 20 on the national list, including four in the top five and seven in the top ten. This political achievement stands out against the backdrop of voter turnout rates: while the national turnout was approximately 54%, "My Likud" members voted at rates exceeding 70%, with the settlement of Har Bracha reaching a record 80% turnout. This high participation reflects strong organizational discipline and mobilization despite the vacation season and reserve military duties.

A senior Likud minister highlighted the group's impact on election day, noting that "My Likud" members come to the polls well-prepared with focused voting lists and often refer inquiries to the group's chairman, Yossi Dagan. Currently, "My Likud" boasts over 8,000 members, making it the second-largest faction within the party. Dagan, who is also head of the Shomron Regional Council, recorded a victory and thank-you video at the symbolic site of the reestablished Kedumim settlement in northern Shomron, marking 21 years since its evacuation. He praised the members for their dedication, noting that many interrupted vacations and reserve service to vote.

Dagan emphasized that the group's political strength translates into tangible actions on the ground, viewing their growth as a direct response to the disengagement from Gush Katif and northern Shomron. He stressed the importance of building genuine partnerships and influence within the ruling party. Regarding some Knesset members who did not secure realistic spots due to reserved slots, Dagan stated that the group plans to integrate them later through the Norwegian Law, aiming to form a right-wing government led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
