Tzvika Mor Reveals Son Eitan’s Secret Meetings With Netanyahu After Hamas Captivity

Tzvika Mor, father of Eitan Mor who recently returned from Hamas captivity, shared insights about his son's recovery and secret meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview with Einat Miron for Maariv. Eitan has been readjusting to life, resuming physical training, regaining his complexion, and practicing Arabic, a language he mastered during his two years in captivity. "Eitan decided not to come out of captivity empty-handed," Tzvika said, explaining that his son learned Arabic extensively while imprisoned. Eitan now frequents Arab neighborhoods in Jaffa, Ramla, and Lod, blending in with locals who are unaware of his Jewish identity, having adopted their accent, slang, and body language. Tzvika expressed hope that Eitan’s unique skills will benefit Israel in the future.

Regarding his meetings with Netanyahu, Tzvika described them as challenging and confidential, with the Prime Minister unable to disclose all details. His role was to ensure Netanyahu remained resilient amid the crisis. Netanyahu repeatedly promised to bring all captives home but emphasized his responsibility to Israel’s 10 million citizens, refusing to make reckless concessions. Tzvika revealed a difficult period when Israeli intelligence lost track of Eitan’s status, causing severe uncertainty. Remarkably, Eitan survived IDF bombings that landed just 100 meters from him and witnessed Hamas continuing to dig tunnels at a rate of one meter per day during the fighting.
