Israeli Hostage Survivor Itay Mor Focuses on Arabic and National Contribution After Return

Dr. Tzvika Mor, father of Israeli hostage survivor Itay Mor, shared an update on his son's recovery and activities since returning from Hamas captivity in Gaza. In an interview with Noam Amir on Channel 14, Dr. Mor described Itay's emotional adjustment and his determined efforts to improve his Arabic language skills, which had already advanced during his time in captivity.

Dr. Mor emphasized that Itay is eager to contribute to Israel using the knowledge and insights he gained while held in isolation and tunnels. "He is contributing to the country from his understanding and what he acquired there," he said.

Regarding Itay's return to normal life, Dr. Mor noted that his son maintains a busy and structured daily routine. He also highlighted how much Itay appreciates his regained freedom, explaining that the experience of open spaces and the sea is profoundly healing after enduring over a year in isolation. "It's hard to grasp how much space and the sea do good for the soul of someone who was in isolation for a year and two months," Dr. Mor added.
