Rotem Sela Condemns False Accusations Against Journalist Guy Peleg’s Daughter

The story · English

Rotem Sela has publicly condemned the spread of false and harmful rumors targeting the children of Israeli journalist Guy Peleg. The controversy escalated after baseless claims circulated on Telegram channels accusing Peleg’s 17-year-old daughter, Roni Peleg, of allegedly providing Iranian agents with the locations of Israeli Air Force personnel and their families in exchange for $100. These accusations were quickly debunked but reached a wide audience online.

Sela criticized the dissemination of such malicious lies about children, questioning the lack of boundaries in public discourse. She emphasized that children should be kept out of political and media conflicts, calling the false information a form of "digital weaponry" with serious real-world consequences. Sela urged her followers not to share or spread these damaging rumors.

This is not the first time Peleg’s children have been targeted; similar false allegations were made against his son, Uri Peleg, about two weeks earlier. Sela’s statement highlights the need to protect minors from becoming collateral damage in heated public debates involving their parents, especially media figures.
