Widow of Fallen Israeli Captain Eitan Shachnezi Announces Engagement

Hallel Shachnezi, widow of Captain Eitan Israel Shachnezi who was killed in combat in Beit Hanoun during the Gaza conflict, announced her engagement to Netanel Folk. The couple shared the news on Tuesday afternoon, expressing gratitude to God and connecting their new chapter with the memory of fallen soldiers. They stated, "We thank God for opening and broadening our hearts, for an abundance of goodness and kindness. In light of and by the strength of those who sacrificed their lives for our revival, we are happy to announce our engagement."

Captain Eitan Israel Shachnezi, a resident of Eli, was 24 years old at the time of his death. He served as deputy company commander in the 932nd Battalion of the Nahal Brigade, having previously served in the Egoz unit. He fell on January 6, 2025, in a battle in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza. In the same incident, his commander and friend, Lieutenant Colonel Dvir Zion Revach, was also killed.
