New Likud List Boosts Election Motivation for Majority of Coalition Voters

A recent poll conducted on August 18, 2026, by NEXT DATA among 636 Israeli adults reveals that 53% of coalition voters believe the new Likud party list will increase their likelihood of voting for the party in the upcoming 26th Knesset elections. Only 22% felt the list would decrease their chances of voting for Likud, while 25% said it was irrelevant to their decision.

Regarding ideological positioning, 52% of coalition voters see the new Likud list as maintaining its ideological stance without significant change, 26% view it as more right-wing, and 11% believe it leans more toward the center. Additionally, 47% of respondents suspect that the Unity Party formed by Gideon Sa'ar and Zeev Elkin might join the anti-Netanyahu opposition bloc, while 31% disagree and 22% have no opinion.

The survey also examined external influences on Israeli voters, finding that 90% would not change their vote even if former U.S. President Donald Trump endorsed a candidate. Only 4% said such an endorsement might affect their vote, and 6% were undecided. The poll was analyzed by Shlomo Philber and highlights the public mood shortly after the Likud primaries and as the elections approach.
